Don't bottle it up...

So this is going to be quite a personal blog post for a change. I haven't been feeling so great recently, I've been angry, I've been crying, I've really been all over the place.

What I do is I bottle my emotions up. My best friend has a best friend that isn't me and it hurts. You should talk about it to someone to make yourself feel better but I don't.

My very close friend has just had her stomach pumped because she tried to over dose on her mums pills.

My mum has become a very unapproachable person which hurts me a lot because I used to tell her everything.

I let things like that grow inside of me until I feel like I'm having a break down.

So I wanted to take a step aside from Britt and make up and just say, don't bottle it up. I have recently made an Instagram so if you need someone to talk to just send me a private picture and I will always be here. I feel the need to help as most people as I can so that you guys don't feel so upset as I have recently.

The instagram is elliegthompson

If ever you need to talk to someone I will be here because we can go through things together x

Love you all so much xxxxx

Real techniques expert face brush

For my birthday this year, my best friend angi brought me this real techniques expert face brush.
It is the softest brush ever! It buffs in my foundation and concealer in beautifully! It looks very air brushed beacause of it's beautiful finish it leaves on my skin. It is very easy to clean. I put a but of baby shampoo on my hair with a little bit of water then swirl just the tip of the bristles in. I leave it to dry over a table or cheast of draws. This means that because it's hanging off of the edge one side isn't flat and it still remains the shape of the brush. I clean it once a week, normally on a Sundays where I have a no make up day so it has time to dry. No bristles have fallen out yet which is amazing.
I didn't clean it because to be honest I couldn't really be bothered to and you guys need to be prepared to see it dirty :) that's my excuse. It doesn't make my makeup look cakey, it blends it very evenly thoughout my face and I absolouty love it!

I really recommend it and I want to try some more. Do you have a favourite make up brush? If so what is it, what brand is it and what do you use it for?

Thank you for reading.

Tresemmé heat protectant review

Tresemmé heat protectant spray review

I have been using the tester smaller version of the Tresemmé heat protectant spray. I wanted to do a little review over to get my point across of how amazing it is. My hair has never felt so soft, especially the ends! I can clearly tell from using it, how much it has protected my hair. I use a lot of heat on my hair such as a hair dryer, straightener and my curling wand. This means my hair needs a lot of protecting. This heat protectent is absolutely perfect. It protects the hair for up to 230 degrees which is a lot. I would seriously recommend this to anyone who uses even the slightest bit of heat on their hair. Using heat is so damaging and could seriously ruin your hair so i couldn't stress it enough to USE A HEAT PROTECTANT!!!!!

Have you got a favourite heat protectant? If so which one is it? Oh and btw if you go to tescos and buy the full sized one you can get it for only £3 because of a deal ;)

Thanks for reading :)

The fault in our stars review

My first ever book review!?

So I have read the fault in our stars countless of times and each time i read it, I love it even more.

I'm not really the type of person to read books , I was when I was younger but now I don't really have time to.  I would love to read more though.

Anyway, I heard a lot of hype around it at Christmas so I asked "santa" last year for one and the lucky girl I am, I got it. So I started reading it and immediately fell in love with Hazel and Augustus. For those of you who didn't know, the fault in our stars is about two cancer patients who fell in love and went through a lot either other. It's about love, loss, romance, pain etc.

My three favourite quotes from the book are 'that's the thing about pain, it demands to be felt' and also 'what a slut time is, it screws everyone and lastly 'I fell in love with him the way you fall asleep. Slowly them all at once. I think these are absolutely beautiful so well done John Green :)

It kind of brings to light the reality of cancer and that it is about pain and loss and it sucks and it's not about rainbows and unicorns with a treatment imbetween. It is the best book I have ever read and truley recommend this ti ever one. (If you is make sure there are 5 boxes if tissues nearby)
Have you read a good book lately? If so which one? Thanks for reading :)

Barry M matte nail polish

I recently had a little trip to boots and obviously got carried away at the Barry M counter. I brought a few different nail polishes but this one one far is the best!
It's called crush and it's a beautiful dark plumy purple shade. I think it's a very autum winter colour and would go nicely with anything. It was the first matte I brought and I have fallen for it.
It looks like this on my nails and I absolutely adore it. It's quite quick drying (but not the fastest) but the finish on my nails is amazing. I would truley recommend this to anyone!

Have you got a favourite nail polish. If so what is it?

Thanks for ready :)

Hair care routine <3

Hi everyone.

So many peoples New Years resolutions where to loose weight or save someone's life, ect. But instead mine was to take care of my hair better because it looked quite dull and lifeless. I have brought these products and have been using since January and have seen a lot of improvement in the softness, the manageability, the shine etc.

Firstly I have been using the garnier ultimate blends sleek restorer shampoo and conditioner. This has made my hair feel so nice and smoothe.

After my shower I use the john frieda full repair perfect ends deep infusion on my ends. This controls my split ends and also controls my frizz.

Sometimes instead of using the perfect ends treatment, I use the body shop coconut oil on my ends. The thing I love about this is that not only can I use it on my hair, I can use it on my body and face aswell.  This makes my hair feel and smell absolutely amazing!!!
Once my hair is air dry I put on frizz-ease secret agent. This controls my frizz and makes my hair feel so soft. It doesn't make my hair oily and you can't even tell it's in my hair. I also use this after I have straightened my hair aswell.
This is my heat protectant spray. I think it smells amazing and it does what it says. This has also controlled my split ends and has made my hair feel a lot better.

I fully recommend all of these products and I love all of them.
Thank you for reading.

Barry M collection, storage and favourites.

Hi everyone. I think it's time to tell you all about my obsession. I have a secret obsession in Barry M nail polishes. Here is my little collection. My collection is still growing. In the top left corner I have all my glitter top coats. My favorite is 'red glitter' on top of 'blood orange'. Then in the top right corner is my foil effects.
At the bottom is all of the normal bases. I have a mixture between gelly and the normal ones. Along the side I have small urban decay testers that I got at Christmas.
These are the colours I have been wearing the most.
From left to right: Greenberry, Prickly pear, Coconut and Blueberry.

The box I have it stored in is an old perfume gift box that my mum have to me to store little things under my bed.

I hope you liked this little blog post, I just really wanted to share with you my Barry M addiction hehe x

Thank you for reading.

Maybelline fit me concealer review

I have been trying out the maybelline fit me concealer for a while  now and I really wanted to tell you abou it :)
I just brought my second tube because I love it so much! I have it in the shade 10 and I think it matches my skin colour perfectly. It blends into my skin beautifully and I love the dewy finish it leaves on my skin. It gives my skin a really nice healthy glow which is always a bonus.
I think that the colour choice could be expanded but for me it works perfectly. I absolutely love it and I'm think about tryin the foundation that matches it. If anybody has tried it let me know how it is in the comments :)

(Ps on my nails is rimmel Rita ora 60 second nail polish in the colour 'loose your laungerie')

Baby lips review

Baby lips have been out for a little while now and I wanted to tell you all about them just in case you havnt bought them yet or if you don't thinks they would work or if they are moisturising or not. So that what my get review is going to be about :) so don't judge me if this doesn't doing professional or not haha. I'm knew at this :)
The first one I am going to talk about is the red tinted one which is called cherry me. I think this one has got to be my favourite ! It's so moisturising, if I ever have dry lips I will put this on it and it will make them feel so much nicer. Even if I don't have dry lips it just makes them have a nice subtle red tint. It smells so so amazing, just like cherries :) The only bad thing about it is if you do have dry lips some of the red tint can stick to the peeling lips but if you blend it in it will look fine.
The next one I am going to talk about is the intensive care one that is in a nice yellow tube with orange writing on the lid. It has a really familiar smell but I can't put my finger on it yet. If you know leave if in the comments. It's so moisturising and nourishing. It leaves my lips so soft. If I do have a dry lip coming on I will wack a bit of this on it and it will normally keep it a bay.
The next one is called peach kiss. It leaves a subtle nude tint on your lips. This is the only one with small glitter particles in it and it looks so cute. It smells sooo nice, imagine an freshly cut open peach infront of you. That's what I smells like !!! It's very moisturising and makes my lips feel very soft and peachy :)
This next one has got to be the bet one for my lips. It's called hydrate. As you can see from the picture above it's a nice blue on the tube with pink writing on the lid. It's the most moisturising lip balm ever. I feel like my lips are very dehydrated ever time I put this on. It is absolute amazing. It leaves the glossiest look to my lips and makes my lips soft and hydrated haha :)
This next one is so pretty. It is called pink punch. It leaves a beautiful pink tint. As well as it leaving a pretty tint, it also moisturises yor lips well too. It's a very cute must have lip balm. It is very glossy and just very cute !!!
The final one that I have. It's the minty one called mint fresh. It has to be the best smelling lip bam ever. It tingled my lips for a couple of minutes then went away. My lips were so refreshed and moisturised after using this. It is so minty and cooling. Amazing for dry lips and mint lovers like myself :)
Here is a swatch I did of all of the tinted ones. The top one is peach kiss. It left a very nude brown pretty colour. The middle one is cherry me that left a very cute red. The bottom one is pink punch that has a very cute bright pink colour.

I highly recommend all of the baby lips because all of them are very moisturising and either pretty, smells great or does great things to your lips. Thanks for reading if you got this far. See you soon x <3

Tips on dealing with stress

This picture means a lot to me.
I used to hang out with a lot of people who were so stressful. They made me unhappy and sad and so stressed I would come home from school with headaches because my body had enough. Truth is that still happens on a regular bases but thatsbto do with other things. Anyways when I found angi and Sophie and georgina, I realised how much happier my life was with out the other people!! Thing is you only live one (yolo) and there is no point being around people who make you stressed and bring you down. Be with the people who make you happy and smile and bring out the best of you!

On a completely different note , I read something on Facebook the other day about a philosopher. She was talking to a class about a glass of water. If you hold if for a couple of minutes your arms fine, if you hold it for a couple of hours your arm gets weak and tired. If you hold it for ages and ages, you can't handle it and you body gives up. Its exactly like stress. You need to learn how to put the glass down (or give up something that makes you stressed out). In the end there is no point wasting your life on things that make you in happy, so learn how to put your glass down.

Love you all x Ellie <3

About me

Hey everyone. I have up this blog because its something that I have always wanted to do. My first blog post is going to be "about me". I want you guys to get to know me a little bit :)

I am a 13(14 in august) year old girl. I live in Wales but I was born in Swindon. I moved here 2 ish years ago and that was the hardest thing I ever did.

The best thing that I ever did in my life was the race for life this year. Me, my mum and my best friend angi did it. I want to do it next year!!

As previously said, my bestest friend is called angi. But I have loads of best friends like Taylor, Georgina, Emma, Sophie. But I'm pretty sure angi will be appearing in my blog a lot.

Me and angi are being healthy (it won't last for long) and we go running Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

My favourite fruit would have to be either strawberries or pineapples. Just sooo yummy!

My favourite food is probably a bowl of yogurt and fruit and my favourite dessert is profiteroles . This is making me so hungry !!!

My guilty pleasure is either primark or boots or superdrug shopping :)

I'm going to stop now because I could go on forever! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more hehe <3         Ellie
