Don't bottle it up...

So this is going to be quite a personal blog post for a change. I haven't been feeling so great recently, I've been angry, I've been crying, I've really been all over the place.

What I do is I bottle my emotions up. My best friend has a best friend that isn't me and it hurts. You should talk about it to someone to make yourself feel better but I don't.

My very close friend has just had her stomach pumped because she tried to over dose on her mums pills.

My mum has become a very unapproachable person which hurts me a lot because I used to tell her everything.

I let things like that grow inside of me until I feel like I'm having a break down.

So I wanted to take a step aside from Britt and make up and just say, don't bottle it up. I have recently made an Instagram so if you need someone to talk to just send me a private picture and I will always be here. I feel the need to help as most people as I can so that you guys don't feel so upset as I have recently.

The instagram is elliegthompson

If ever you need to talk to someone I will be here because we can go through things together x

Love you all so much xxxxx

Real techniques expert face brush

For my birthday this year, my best friend angi brought me this real techniques expert face brush.
It is the softest brush ever! It buffs in my foundation and concealer in beautifully! It looks very air brushed beacause of it's beautiful finish it leaves on my skin. It is very easy to clean. I put a but of baby shampoo on my hair with a little bit of water then swirl just the tip of the bristles in. I leave it to dry over a table or cheast of draws. This means that because it's hanging off of the edge one side isn't flat and it still remains the shape of the brush. I clean it once a week, normally on a Sundays where I have a no make up day so it has time to dry. No bristles have fallen out yet which is amazing.
I didn't clean it because to be honest I couldn't really be bothered to and you guys need to be prepared to see it dirty :) that's my excuse. It doesn't make my makeup look cakey, it blends it very evenly thoughout my face and I absolouty love it!

I really recommend it and I want to try some more. Do you have a favourite make up brush? If so what is it, what brand is it and what do you use it for?

Thank you for reading.

Tresemmé heat protectant review

Tresemmé heat protectant spray review

I have been using the tester smaller version of the Tresemmé heat protectant spray. I wanted to do a little review over to get my point across of how amazing it is. My hair has never felt so soft, especially the ends! I can clearly tell from using it, how much it has protected my hair. I use a lot of heat on my hair such as a hair dryer, straightener and my curling wand. This means my hair needs a lot of protecting. This heat protectent is absolutely perfect. It protects the hair for up to 230 degrees which is a lot. I would seriously recommend this to anyone who uses even the slightest bit of heat on their hair. Using heat is so damaging and could seriously ruin your hair so i couldn't stress it enough to USE A HEAT PROTECTANT!!!!!

Have you got a favourite heat protectant? If so which one is it? Oh and btw if you go to tescos and buy the full sized one you can get it for only £3 because of a deal ;)

Thanks for reading :)

The fault in our stars review

My first ever book review!?

So I have read the fault in our stars countless of times and each time i read it, I love it even more.

I'm not really the type of person to read books , I was when I was younger but now I don't really have time to.  I would love to read more though.

Anyway, I heard a lot of hype around it at Christmas so I asked "santa" last year for one and the lucky girl I am, I got it. So I started reading it and immediately fell in love with Hazel and Augustus. For those of you who didn't know, the fault in our stars is about two cancer patients who fell in love and went through a lot either other. It's about love, loss, romance, pain etc.

My three favourite quotes from the book are 'that's the thing about pain, it demands to be felt' and also 'what a slut time is, it screws everyone and lastly 'I fell in love with him the way you fall asleep. Slowly them all at once. I think these are absolutely beautiful so well done John Green :)

It kind of brings to light the reality of cancer and that it is about pain and loss and it sucks and it's not about rainbows and unicorns with a treatment imbetween. It is the best book I have ever read and truley recommend this ti ever one. (If you is make sure there are 5 boxes if tissues nearby)
Have you read a good book lately? If so which one? Thanks for reading :)

Barry M matte nail polish

I recently had a little trip to boots and obviously got carried away at the Barry M counter. I brought a few different nail polishes but this one one far is the best!
It's called crush and it's a beautiful dark plumy purple shade. I think it's a very autum winter colour and would go nicely with anything. It was the first matte I brought and I have fallen for it.
It looks like this on my nails and I absolutely adore it. It's quite quick drying (but not the fastest) but the finish on my nails is amazing. I would truley recommend this to anyone!

Have you got a favourite nail polish. If so what is it?

Thanks for ready :)

Hair care routine <3

Hi everyone.

So many peoples New Years resolutions where to loose weight or save someone's life, ect. But instead mine was to take care of my hair better because it looked quite dull and lifeless. I have brought these products and have been using since January and have seen a lot of improvement in the softness, the manageability, the shine etc.

Firstly I have been using the garnier ultimate blends sleek restorer shampoo and conditioner. This has made my hair feel so nice and smoothe.

After my shower I use the john frieda full repair perfect ends deep infusion on my ends. This controls my split ends and also controls my frizz.

Sometimes instead of using the perfect ends treatment, I use the body shop coconut oil on my ends. The thing I love about this is that not only can I use it on my hair, I can use it on my body and face aswell.  This makes my hair feel and smell absolutely amazing!!!
Once my hair is air dry I put on frizz-ease secret agent. This controls my frizz and makes my hair feel so soft. It doesn't make my hair oily and you can't even tell it's in my hair. I also use this after I have straightened my hair aswell.
This is my heat protectant spray. I think it smells amazing and it does what it says. This has also controlled my split ends and has made my hair feel a lot better.

I fully recommend all of these products and I love all of them.
Thank you for reading.

Barry M collection, storage and favourites.

Hi everyone. I think it's time to tell you all about my obsession. I have a secret obsession in Barry M nail polishes. Here is my little collection. My collection is still growing. In the top left corner I have all my glitter top coats. My favorite is 'red glitter' on top of 'blood orange'. Then in the top right corner is my foil effects.
At the bottom is all of the normal bases. I have a mixture between gelly and the normal ones. Along the side I have small urban decay testers that I got at Christmas.
These are the colours I have been wearing the most.
From left to right: Greenberry, Prickly pear, Coconut and Blueberry.

The box I have it stored in is an old perfume gift box that my mum have to me to store little things under my bed.

I hope you liked this little blog post, I just really wanted to share with you my Barry M addiction hehe x

Thank you for reading.
